Busy, busy ...

Josie's on the move constantly, so catching her at an activity that she loves is the only way to get the photo sometimes. Here are a few of her favorite activities that involve sitting still. However, if Gracie or MacKenzie are cooperative, a game of follow the kitty is still much preferred : )

Birthday girl

Other new firsts:
Identifying body parts. No, my little Einstein can't find her nose, but ask her where her tummy is (or her favorite, "belly button"), and she's got it down. But, only at bath time, when that button is easier to find!

Following 2-step request from Mom: Can you get your kitty and bring it to Mama? (referring to the kitty TOY, not the real kitties. As we all know, she can't catch them yet : )

Buckles and straps and snaps ... oh, my! Last night she grabbed my (discarded) bra off the floor, pulled it around her waist and tried to connect the hooks. Where was the CAMERA!!!??? Josie is fascinated with all of her buckles and belts (car seat, stroller, high chair) and can spend long, concentrated minutes trying to figure out how they work. Should I be scared?

Funny girl

I think the faces tell it all. We're having such a fun time together and getting to know more about each of our personalities every day. The little imp just makes me smile, and now that she KNOWS when she's being an imp, well, the mischief begins. Tonight she had so much fun splashing in the bathtub - the entire room was drenched, Mom only a little damp after taking refuge behind the bathmat. Wish I had a camera to capture the sheer joy in her whole little body, just pounding the water and laughing. Of course, the camera would be ruined and no more Josie pix for me to share!

Enjoy these glimpses. My personal favorite is MacKenzie, the cat, entertaining her by walking in circles around the room, enticing Ms. Josie to follow. It's best viewed with all 4 photos, but I restrained myself to just one. "All around the mulberry bush, the monkey chased the weasel. The monkey thought ' twas all in fun. Pop! goes the weasel"
